Rajasthan State is established on March 30, 1949 and the capital of Rajasthan is Jaipur. Total area of Rajasthan is 342,239 km² including 335,606 km² rural area and 6,633 km² urban area. Hindi and Rajstani are the official language of Rajasthan, which is spoken by the majority of the population. As per ISO 3166-2:IN standard, The ISO code of Rajasthan is IN-RJ.

Jaisalmer is the largest district of Rajasthan which covers area of 38401 km² while Dhaulpur is the smallest district of Rajasthan which covers area of 3033 km². Jaipur is the most populated whereas Jaisalmer is the least populous district in Rajasthan State.
